When a job runs to several hundred head, the weight of the bottle sitting on top of the gun is what wears the wrist out. A tube-fed injector moves that weight off the handpiece entirely. The bottle sits in a holster, a pocket or on the rail, and only the gun and a length of tube come to the animal. Dose is variable from 0.2 to 2 mL and set in 0.2 mL increments. The body is the compact pattern rather than the premium one, which makes it a shorter, lighter tool in the hand and a sensible choice for work where the dose is set once in the morning and left alone. Fewer adjustments than the premium range also means less to go wrong out in a yard. Keep the tube pickup weighted or clipped so it stays under the surface as the bottle empties, or you will draw air. Purge the line before starting and flush the whole run, tube included, with warm water afterwards. Your veterinarian and the product label decide what goes through it and how much.
