Details
An open bottle with a tube dangling in it is asking to be knocked over, and once it goes, the product is on the ground and the run stops. The draw-off caps supplied with this kit thread onto the bottle in place of the original cap and take the pickup tube through a sealed port, so the bottle can lie in a holster or a pocket and keep working. The gun itself is the compact tube-fed pattern with a variable dose from 0.2 to 2 mL in 0.2 mL steps. Draw-off caps are made in several neck sizes to suit the bottles in common use, so check which sizes came with your kit rather than assuming, and match the cap to the bottle before you start rather than in the middle of a pen. Caps and tube are the parts that wear here. The cap seal takes a beating from repeated fitting and the tube goes stiff over time, and both are consumables to be replaced rather than repaired. Flush the tube through with warm water at the end of the day and check the cap seats squarely each time it goes on. Product selection and dosing are matters for your veterinarian and the label.
