Bottle-mount guns all share one weakness. As the bottle empties, the pickup can end up above the liquid whenever the gun is held at the angle the job actually demands. The premium body answers that with fully adjustable barrel orientation, so the bottle angle can be set relative to the handle and the pickup stays submerged in the position you naturally work in. The barrel is 5 mL, one of the sizes in a premium bottle mount range that spans 1 mL through 6 mL. Dose is set with a quick-set selector on the barrel. Needle connections in this range are metal luer lock or plastic luer tip, so confirm which is fitted to yours before you buy a box of needles. Because there is no tube, there is nothing to trail through a race and nothing extra to clean, but the bottle collar does need checking for tightness as it warms through the day. Strip the barrel after use, flush with warm water and dry the parts before they go back together. Dose and product decisions rest with your veterinarian and the label.
