Details
Twelve and a half millilitres is a lot of fluid to push through a needle, and a gun that is not built for it will either fight you or shed accuracy at the top of its range. This barrel is sized for that volume from the start rather than being a small gun stretched to cover it. Dose is selectable from 1 mL up to 12.5 mL in 0.5 mL increments, which gives twenty-four settings across the range and enough resolution to match a dose to a weight band without rounding hard. Selectable, not variable, means the collar indexes to fixed positions, so it stays where you put it when the gun is passed to somebody else or knocked against a rail. Prime it thoroughly before the first animal, because the larger the barrel, the more air it can hold and the longer it takes to clear. Afterwards, strip the barrel, run warm water through the valves and let the parts dry separately. O-rings are the usual wear item and are worth having on hand before a big run rather than after. Your veterinarian and the product label determine what is delivered and how much.
