The twenty four inch version of the slide top feeder. Same idea as the shorter one with twice the trough. The sliding lid opens for filling and closes to a feeding gap that lets birds eat without billing feed out onto the floor. Trough length matters more than people expect. Birds that cannot all reach the feeder push, and pushing at a feeder is exactly where feed ends up in the litter. Two feet gets a decent number eating at the same time and takes the pressure out of feeding. Galvanized steel, so it hoses out, does not crack in a cold barn, and lasts through years rather than seasons. Keep it closed between feedings if you have rodents. It is a reasonable seal slid shut, and an open feed trough overnight is how you start feeding mice instead of chickens.
