Same double wall galvanized design as the three gallon with two more gallons in the reservoir. The reason to move up is simple arithmetic. If you are filling a smaller fountain twice a day, one fill of this covers it. Water gravity feeds from the sealed reservoir into the trough and holds a steady level with no float and no valve in the system. Galvanized steel handles a working coop and pairs with a heated base for winter, which is the main argument for steel over plastic on the Prairies. Full, this is close to twenty kilograms of water and steel. That is manageable and it is not nothing, so think about where it is going before you fill it rather than after. Set it level and rinse the trough out regularly. A fountain sitting off level wastes water out the low side continuously, and you tend not to notice until the reservoir is empty early.
