Details
Six millilitres with a push-on tip is a processing-day syringe. The barrel is big enough to read with cold hands and small enough to control one-handed, and the slip tip lets you pull a used needle and seat a fresh one without stopping to thread anything. On a calf table where somebody is changing needles regularly, that is the difference between doing it and skipping it. The barrel is clear polypropylene with large, easy-to-read graduations, latex free, sterile and single use in tamper-evident packaging. Fit is the whole game with a slip tip: seat the needle firmly with a straight push, and give it a look before each animal rather than assuming it is still tight. Where slip goes wrong is under pressure. If you are pushing something thick through a fine needle, a friction fit can let go, and you will know about it. If that is the work you are doing, take the luer lock version instead. Otherwise this is the faster tool. One use only, then the whole unit into a sharps container.
