Same familiar 16 gauge bore, half an inch more reach. That extra length is for the heavier end of the herd, where hide and cover sit deeper than they do on a yearling and a one inch needle risks stopping short. On lighter cattle it is more needle than the job needs. The cannula is regular-wall stainless, the tip is computer ground and tri-bevelled with an anti-coring geometry, and the hub is aluminum with ISO colour coding so you can pick the gauge out of a tray without reading fine print. Cartridges are tamper evident. Sterile and single use. Length is the part people get wrong more often than gauge. Too short and you are not where you meant to be; too long and you are through the far side of the muscle. If you are unsure which length suits the cattle in front of you, ask your veterinarian rather than guessing. Keep the animal properly restrained, change needles through the run, and drop every used one into a sharps container as you go instead of leaving them loose on the headgate.
