Six millilitres sits between the fiddly and the bulky. There is enough barrel to read a scale comfortably with cold hands and gloves on, and not so much that a small measured amount disappears into the bottom of it. For calf work and small stock it is often the most used size in the box. The luer lock tip threads the needle on so it stays attached under pressure, which is what you want when an animal shifts mid-job and a slip tip would let go. The barrel is clear polypropylene with large graduations so you can see the fluid level without holding it up to the light, and the construction is latex free. Sterile, single use, in tamper-evident packaging. Disposables are cheap enough that reusing them is a false economy. A barrel that has been rinsed and set on a tailgate is not clean, and the plunger seal stiffens once it has dried out, which makes for jerky delivery. Use it, then put the whole thing in a sharps container with the needle still locked on. Dose, route and product questions go to your veterinarian or the label.
