Sixty millilitres is the biggest of the disposables and it does a wider range of jobs than the smaller sizes. Some of it is high-volume work on mature cattle, and a lot of it is not injection at all: drawing and measuring, filling other equipment, flushing, and oral dosing into calves and small stock where a big barrel and no needle is the whole point. The luer lock tip is useful in both roles. With a needle on it holds under the considerable pressure a full 60 can generate, and with a length of tubing or an oral tip it gives you something that will not part company mid-job. Clear polypropylene barrel with large graduations, latex free, sterile and single use in tamper-evident packaging. A 60 is unwieldy when it is full, so have the animal properly restrained and both hands free. Cold stiffens the plunger seal noticeably at this size; keep a couple in the cab rather than the back of the truck in January. Used units go into a sharps container whole if a needle is attached. Anything about what you are giving, and by what route, is your veterinarian's call or the label's.
