Details
This is the longest of the fine needles in the range, and it exists for a narrow job: getting depth without putting a wide hole in the animal. Small stock, thin fluids, low volumes, but a site that a five eighths or a one inch will not reach. Outside of that it is more length than most fine-needle work calls for. Ideal builds it on a regular-wall stainless cannula with a computer-ground, tri-bevelled anti-coring tip, in an ISO colour-coded aluminum hub. The cartridge is tamper evident. Sterile and single use. An inch and a half at 20 gauge is the most flexible needle on the shelf, and flexible is not a virtue here. It will bow if you meet resistance and it will take a permanent set if an animal jerks. Have the animal held properly before you start, keep the entry square, and never straighten a bent one and carry on. One use, then a sharps container. Route, site and dose come from your veterinarian or the label.
