Doktor Doom PM 70 24/7 Farm & Livestock Insect Killer Plus
Farm and livestock insect killer built for continuous protection — the option when you need coverage around the clock, not just knockdown.
Details
This one is aimed at the situation a quick knockdown spray does not solve: a barn under fly pressure all day, every day, where a treatment applied in the morning has worn off by afternoon and the flies are back on the animals. The design intent is sustained protection rather than a single hit. Read the label carefully before use — more carefully than usual, because the products that provide extended protection are also the ones with more specific instructions about where and how they may be applied, which species and classes of animal they are registered for, application intervals, and any milk or slaughter withholding periods. Every one of those is a legal condition of use, and none of them should be inferred from the product name. Where a product like this earns its money is in a barn where flies are costing you something measurable: cattle that are not eating, milk that is off, calves under pressure, or a horse barn where nobody is comfortable. Fly burden is not a nuisance issue on a livestock operation; it shows up in gain and production. That said, insecticide is the second half of the job. Flies breed in wet bedding, spilled feed, manure packs and around leaking waterers, and a barn producing flies faster than you kill them will not be fixed by any product. Dry the wet spots, clean up the spills, move the manure away from the buildings, and this becomes a finishing tool instead of an endless expense. Wear the protective equipment the label specifies, keep it out of feed and water, and store it away from heat and flame.
