Not every watering job needs a hundred gallons standing in it. A pen with two or three animals, a horse on stall rest, a temporary isolation setup: those want a tank you can drain and scrub in a couple of minutes and refill without waiting around. This one holds 322 L (85 US gallons) in a footprint of roughly 127 by 89 cm (50 by 35 in), standing about 46 cm (18 in) tall. It is the smallest size in the oval range that comes with a drain plug moulded into the base, which is what separates it from the shallow tanks below it. Smaller tanks turn over faster, and that is a real advantage in warm weather. Water that gets drunk down and topped up daily stays better than water sitting in a big tank going warm and green, so oversizing is not automatically the safe choice. Empty it through the plug rather than tipping, especially once the ground around it is wet. Give the inside a brush every time and set it back on something level. The listed dimensions are outside measurements and can vary by 25 to 40 mm (1 to 1.5 in) between mouldings.
