Handles break long before fork heads do. This is the Tuff Stuff barn fork head on its own, moulded in heavy-duty plastic and sold without a handle, so you can fit a new one and carry on. Plastic fork heads have largely taken over from steel tines in horse barns for good reason. They're lighter to swing all morning, they don't rust, they don't bend into a useless shape the first time somebody pries with them, and the tine spacing is set up to lift manure and wet spots while clean shavings fall back through. Hay, leaves, mulch and general pen cleanup all move fine with one. Cold is the usual killer of barn plastic, so treat it accordingly. A fork head that's been sitting outside at minus thirty is stiffer and more brittle than one that's been in a heated shop, and prying at frozen manure is how forks die. Chip it loose first, then fork it. Pink.
