The Tomcat Rat Killer Refillable Bait Station is a lockable, reusable rat bait station sold with fifteen 30 g bait blocks (450 g of bait in the pack). It is registered with Health Canada as a domestic-class rodenticide, PCP Registration No. 32034, registrant Scotts Canada Ltd. The active ingredient on the label is diphacinone 0.005%, an anticoagulant rodenticide. What the label says it is for: "Use bait to control the Norway rat (Rattus norvegicus) and roof rat (Rattus rattus) indoors and outdoors within 15 metres of buildings." How the label says to use it: "While wearing rubber gloves, place 1 or 2 blocks of bait in each bait station." "Place bait stations at highest points of activity beside burrows, along a wall or in corners where rats or their signs have been seen." "Place bait stations at 5 to 10 metre intervals." "Maintain a constant supply of fresh bait for 10 days or until signs of rat activity cease in infested areas." "While wearing rubber gloves, replace bait in bait station when bait is consumed or contaminated." Precautions from the label: "KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN, PETS AND LIVESTOCK." "DO NOT place bait in areas where there is a possibility of contaminating food or surfaces that come in direct contact with food." "Rubber gloves must be worn when collecting and disposing of emptied bait stations and disposing of dead rodents." The label describes the unit as a "Child & dog resistant bait station." Refills: the fifteen 30 g blocks in this pack are the refills for this station. Pipestone Farm Supply does not currently list a separate Tomcat rat refill pack.
