Ortho Wasp B Gon Max Wasp Killer Spray Aerosol 400 g
Wasp and hornet killer spray, 400 g — a long-range jet for nests and for individual wasps on the wing.
Details
The spray version throws a liquid stream rather than a foam, which gives it the longest reach in the lineup and makes it the more versatile can. It will knock down a nest from a distance, and unlike foam it is also practical for individual wasps around a doorway, a picnic table or a truck cab, and for wetting down a group clustered on a wall or under an eave. For a nest, treat it after dark or at first light when the colony is inside and sluggish, aim the stream into the nest opening, and soak it. Set a flashlight on the ground pointing at the nest rather than holding it — wasps orient to light. Have your route out planned, spray from the distance the label gives, and leave immediately. Do not spray upward from directly beneath a nest, and do not attempt this from a ladder. Nests in wall voids, high on a building, or in the ground belong to someone with the right equipment, and so does any nest if a household member is allergic to stings. Because the stream is liquid rather than foam, it does not seal the entrance the way foam does. Foam is the better choice for a nest you want plugged; spray is the better choice for reach and for insects in the open. Follow the label for approved sites, distances and re-entry, keep it off garden vegetables and away from ponds, and remember aerosols are flammable — never spray near flame or a hot fixture. Re-check the nest in daylight the next day. And leave nests that are well out of the way alone if you can; wasps eat a great many pest insects over a summer.
