What the label covers: "For use outdoors and in greenhouses", on ornamentals, fruits and vegetables. Its tables list greenhouse and outdoor ornamental shrubs and flowering plants (rose, hollyhock, hydrangea, crape myrtle); root and tuber vegetables (garden beet, potatoes); bulb vegetables (chives, garlic, leek, onion, shallot); celery; brassica leafy vegetables (bok choy, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, kale); legumes (bean, pea, soybean); fruiting vegetables (eggplant, peppers, tomatoes); cucurbits (cucumbers, cantaloupe, melon, squash, pumpkin, zucchini); pome fruit trees (apple, pear); stone fruit trees (apricot, cherry, nectarine, peach, plum); and small fruits (blackberry, blueberry, currant, gooseberry, raspberry, strawberry). The diseases named for each crop include powdery mildew, rust and black spot on roses, early and late blight on potatoes and tomatoes, powdery and downy mildew on cucurbits, fire blight and scab on apples and pears, and peach leaf curl; several entries are listed for suppression only. Check your plant and disease in the table on the label. How to apply, from the label: "The standard application rate for the listed species is 1 L of Ortho® Garden Fungicide Ready-to-Use per 10 m2." At that rate this bottle is one application over 10 m². "Spray all plant surfaces thoroughly." "For best control, begin treatment 2 weeks before disease normally appears or when weather forecasts predict a long period of wet weather. Alternatively, begin treatment when disease first appears." For most crops: "Re-apply using 5-10 day intervals." "For outdoor flowers and ornamentals, do not exceed 10 applications per year." "If possible, time applications so that 12 hours of dry weather follow application." "Do not apply within 1 day of harvest." Plant cautions: on roses it "May cause copper toxicity on some rose varieties. Copper toxicity appears as purple spots." "In damp cool conditions (below 18°C), phytotoxicity is likely to occur". "Do not apply to light-skinned apples after fruit has formed or russetting may occur." If you are unsure how a plant will react, the label says to treat individual plants or small areas first and wait to see whether damage occurs. Precautions, as printed: "DO NOT apply this product in a way that will contact adults, children or pets, either directly or through drift." "KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
