Ortho Bug B Gon ECO Insecticide Ready-To-Use is a Domestic-class insecticide registered in Canada by Scotts Canada Ltd. under PCP Reg. No. 28379 (first registered 2006-08-15). Guarantee: pyrethrins 0.01%. The label lists container sizes from 100 mL to 1 L; this listing is the 1 L trigger sprayer, sold ready to use with no mixing. The label notes it is "Made with Pyrol® Insecticide, a trademark of W. Neudorff GmbH KG". What the label covers: "For use on indoor and greenhouse ornamental plants." The label names all stages of aphids, spider mites and whitefly, and the adult and nymph stages of thrips, mealybugs and scale insects, on indoor ornamental houseplants and greenhouse ornamental plants such as fuchsia and roses. It is a contact spray for plants, not a lawn, garden-bed or household-pest product. Two limits are printed on the label: "DO NOT apply to houseplants grown for food or feed (e.g., herbs)." and "DO NOT use in commercial greenhouses." How to apply, from the label: "Shake well before each use." "A fine mist is recommended to provide thorough coverage of all foliage, including upper and lower leaf surfaces, as well as stems where needed." "DO NOT wet plants to the point of runoff or drip." "Insects must be contacted by spray to be killed." "DO NOT exceed 55.6 mL per m2 (1.6 mL per trigger pull)." "Treatment must only be repeated after 10 days if pest problem persists or reoccurs." "If concerned about sensitivity of unlisted plants (e.g., delicate ferns), test spray a portion of the plant a few days before spraying larger areas." "DO NOT apply using stationary or handheld fogging or misting equipment. DO NOT apply as a space spray." Precautions, as printed: "KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN." "CAUTION: SKIN IRRITANT POTENTIAL SKIN SENSITIZER". "May irritate skin and cause skin sensitization responses. Product may cause eye irritation and may aggravate pre-existing skin conditions." "Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Use only in well ventilated areas." The label carries a full first-aid block (swallowed, skin, inhaled, eyes) and says to take the container, label or product name and registration number with you when seeking medical attention. Storage: "Store this product away from food or feed." Disposal: "DO NOT reuse the empty containers. Dispose in household garbage." Where to buy: Pipestone Farm Supply lists Ortho Bug B Gon ECO Insecticide Ready-To-Use 1 L in store in Millet, Alberta (between Leduc and Wetaskiwin, south of Edmonton) and online, with free in-store pickup.
