Small plastic parts on pasture equipment lead short lives. They come off while the syringe is being loaded, get stepped on in the corral, or are last seen somewhere between the truck and the gate. This is the clip for the extension version of the Medi-Dart, the pole-mounted syringe rather than the crossbow or projectile dart. The manual that came with your kit shows where each piece sits in the assembly, and it is worth having in front of you when reassembling. Sold on its own as a small parts item, so if you also need an o-ring, a nut or a push rod it makes sense to put them on the same order rather than making a second trip for a part that weighs nothing. It is a reusable component rather than a consumable, but it belongs on the short list of spares worth keeping in the case alongside a couple of o-rings and a wingnut.
