Medi-Dart air pump inflating needle (MDIN)

This is the smallest part in the whole outfit and one of the easiest to be stopped by. It is the ball-type inflating needle on the end of the air pump hose, and it is what actually puts the air charge into the tail section of the syringe. Without it the pump is a handle and a length of rubber. They bend and they block. A needle that has been trodden on or dropped into a pocket with a pair of pliers will not seat squarely, and one that has picked up dirt will slow the charge without obviously failing. Neither problem announces itself until you are standing in a pasture with an animal in front of you, which is a good argument for keeping a spare in the pump case. It fits the standard Medi-Dart pump hose used across the crossbow, projectile and extension pole systems. The hose itself is stocked separately, so if the fault turns out to be a split at the crimp rather than the needle, that is a separate order. Treat it as a low-cost wearing item rather than a permanent part. Wipe it down after use and store it capped or in the pump case rather than loose.
