Rubber hose that lives in a truck box and gets used in cold weather does not last forever. It goes hard, then it splits at the fitting, and the first sign is usually a pump that seems to be working while the syringe never comes up to pressure. Replacing the hose is a great deal cheaper than replacing the pump. This is the hose only. It does not include the inflating needle, which is the small ball-type needle on the end that goes into the tail section of the syringe. That is a separate item, so if yours is bent, blocked or lost, add it to the order. Buying the hose and finding you still cannot charge a dart is a familiar and avoidable annoyance. It fits the Medi-Dart air pump supplied with the crossbow, projectile and extension pole kits. Since all three systems are charged the same way, one pump and one hose covers whatever combination of darts you are running. Check the hose at both ends when you strip your kit down for the season. Most splits start at the crimp where the hose meets the fitting and are visible before they cost you a treatment. This is a wearing part with a service life rather than a per-shot consumable, and it is a sensible spare to have. Treatment decisions remain a matter for your veterinarian and the product label.
