Fiebing's mink oil paste 168g
Thick mink oil paste for smooth leather and vinyl that softens, preserves and helps repel water, worked in with a cloth.
Details
The paste version. Where the liquid soaks straight in, the paste sits and works slowly, which suits boots and anything that takes weather head-on. Fiebing's rates it for smooth leather and vinyl and mentions it helping with salt stains, which is worth knowing on footwear that walks a sanded yard from November to April. Clean the leather with saddle soap and let it dry all the way through. Spot-test a hidden area. Apply small amounts with a soft cloth in circular motions, let it sit several hours or overnight to absorb, then wipe off the excess. Buff it if you want shine out of it. Do not park it near a heater to speed absorption. Cooking oil into leather is a reliable way to ruin it. Room temperature and patience do the job. If a boot still feels greasy the next day, that was too much — wipe it back and go lighter next time. A tin this size, used properly, lasts a long while, and reapplying twice a season beats one heavy annual coat every time.
