A liquid blend of mink oil and 100% pure neatsfoot oil. Fiebing's makes it to soften, preserve and waterproof smooth leather, and being a liquid it penetrates rather than sitting on the surface the way the paste does. Clean the leather and let it dry first. Put a small amount on a cloth rather than straight onto the leather, where it lands as a dark blotch, and work it in evenly. Give it hours to absorb; in a cold shop, overnight. Wipe off anything that has not gone in. Overdoing oil is a real thing. Leather that has taken up more than it can hold goes limp and loses the stiffness that lets a stirrup leather or a billet hold its shape under load, and the stitching suffers along with it. Several thin applications spread over time do more good than one soaking. Expect some darkening. How much depends on the hide and the finish, so try a hidden area before you commit to a whole saddle. The 236ml bottle does a pair of boots and a bridle or two without leaving you a half-empty jug.
