Details
The clear version of Fiebing's hoof polish. It puts a shine on the wall without covering the natural colour, which is what you want on striped hooves, white feet, or any horse where blacking the wall would look wrong. Fiebing's describes the polish as water based and non-toxic, safe for horse and rider, and says it wears off on its own. Clean and dry the wall first. Clear polish is less forgiving than black about what is underneath, because dust and old hoof oil show through instead of being hidden. A proper scrub and a real dry pay off more here than they do on the black. Apply with the dauber in thin, even passes and let each coat dry before adding another. Two thin coats give a better result than one heavy one and they stay put better on the walk to the ring. Keep the lid on tight between uses.
