The one-litre size, with the applicator built into the cap so there is no separate brush to lose in the bottom of the grooming box. Fiebing's hoof dressing is an oil blend, mostly mineral oil with soybean oil, and it leaves a semi-gloss finish on the hoof wall. Clean the foot first. Pick it out, brush the wall down, and let wet mud dry and come off rather than sealing it in under the dressing. Then brush the dressing on, covering the wall, the sole and the frog, and carry it up to the hairline at the coronet. Fiebing's recommends two or three times a week. Hold the foot up long enough for the dressing to stop running before you set it down, or the horse walks off and stamps most of it into the shavings. This is a routine grooming product and nothing more. If something about a foot has genuinely changed — heat in the hoof, an odd smell, a horse landing differently — that is a call to your farrier or your vet, not a job for a brush and a bottle.
