The 4 L size of the same hyaluronic acid and curcumin joint solution. Since joint supplements only make sense fed consistently over months, the large jug is what you buy once you have decided a horse is staying on it. Per dose it is substantially cheaper than the litre, and one jug covers a long enough stretch that you are not reordering constantly. The sequence that saves money is to start on the 1 L, feed it properly for a couple of months, and honestly assess whether the horse moves better. If yes, move to the 4 L. If you cannot tell any difference, do not scale up — buying a bigger jug of something that is not working is a common and expensive habit. Feed daily at the label rate, measured into feed. Shake the jug first; a large container sitting on a shelf will settle. The same limits apply. This supports joint comfort in a horse doing normal work or carrying some age; it does not treat injury, resolve a hot joint, or substitute for a lameness exam. If a horse is visibly lame or drops off in performance, get a veterinary diagnosis — there may be a treatable problem, and time spent feeding a supplement instead of finding it is time the joint does not get back. Store closed, above freezing and out of direct sun. A 4 L jug left in an unheated shed through an Alberta winter is not doing the product any favours.
