Details
One gateway rarely needs one hook. There is the closed position, somewhere to park the handle when the gate is open, and often a second strand at a different height, which can mean three separate fittings on the same post. The X3 Premium carries three hanging positions in a single body, which covers all of that off one screw. The hook itself is a stainless-steel ring, so the point taking the constant rub of a handle is metal rather than plastic and does not wear an ever-deepening groove. It mounts on a 6 mm support with a wood thread, which drives into a wood post or a recycled plastic post without a separate fitting. The body is impact-resistant plastic with a high insulation value, which counts at a gateway where the fitting sits close to both the post and the ground. Ten to the bag. Fit it so the handle in its closed position pulls square onto the ring. Use one of the spare positions as the parking hook for the open gate and the handle stops lying in the grass, which is where handles get run over and where gates get left off.
