CORRAL t-post pinlock insulator (25/bag)
A T-post insulator that locks the conductor in behind a pin, taking wire, polywire, rope or tape up to 10 mm without threading.
Details
Threading four hundred metres of rope through closed ring insulators is a job nobody does twice. A pinlock takes the conductor in from the side and locks it, so a fence line can be strung out on the ground and lifted into the insulators afterwards. The clip system seats on a standard T-post, and the body accepts wire, polywire, rope or tape up to 10 mm across. Twenty-five to the bag, which does a hundred metres at four metre spacing on a single wire. The trade is that a pinlock is a running insulator, not a strain point. It is meant to let conductor slip through as you tension a line and to keep it off the steel afterwards. Corners, ends and any place the fence changes direction want a screw-on corner insulator instead. If you are replacing a line, pull the old conductor out through the pin rather than cutting each insulator off the post. Most of them survive to be reused, and a bag goes a long way when the pins come back.
