Tuff Stuff tuff handler 800 cart
A heavy two-wheel hand truck rated to 363 kg, with a fold-out nose platform and pneumatic tires for rough yard ground.
Details
Standard hand trucks are built for warehouse floors. Take one across a gravel yard with a feed drum on it and the small hard wheels drop into every rut. This one runs 25 by 10 cm (10 by 4 in) pneumatic tires at around 30 psi, which is what lets it roll over ground that stops a shop dolly. It is rated to 363 kg (800 lb) on a frame of 25 mm (1 in) steel tubing with flat braces. At 66 cm (26 in) wide it is stable under an awkward load and still fits a standard doorway, and the 132 cm (52 in) height gives you leverage and somewhere for a tall load to lean. The whole thing weighs about 21 kg (47 lb). The fold-out nose platform is what separates it from an ordinary truck. It opens out to roughly 61 by 53 cm (24 by 21 in), enough to take a drum, a bale or a stack of bags flat rather than balanced on a lip, and folds up for storage held there by a spring-loaded pin in the side frame. Four cleats around the frame give you somewhere to run rope, twine or a strap. The P-handle is worth mentioning because it lets you steer and pull one-handed, which is the difference between opening a gate and setting the load down to open a gate. Check tire pressure at the start of each season, since a soft tire on a loaded truck is what makes these feel heavy.
