Every barn has a shelf where the brushes, the fly spray and the hoof pick live, and every barn has a person who walks back to it four times per horse. A caddy with the whole kit in it turns that into one trip. The tote is a square open-topped tray divided into three compartments, with a bridge handle across the middle moulded with finger grooves so it does not cut into your hand when it is loaded. Open compartments mean you can see what is in it, which is why people use these instead of a closed toolbox for anything they reach into repeatedly. Grey is the neutral option and the one that does not go chalky in the sun the way bright plastics do. It also does not announce itself, which some people prefer for a caddy that sits out in a tack room. Three compartments is enough structure to be useful and not so much that things stop fitting. A common split is brushes in the long section, bottles and sprays in one end, small tools and picks in the other. Tip it out and hose it down when it gets grubby, since there is nothing in it that minds water.
