Most barn injuries are not dramatic. They come from doing the same slightly wrong movement four hundred times, and a short-handled tool guarantees it, because a short handle means bending. At a listed 168 cm (66 inches) this one puts the grip somewhere near your chest, so you drive with your arms and shoulders and leave your lower back out of it. The aluminium handle is the other half of the argument: it takes real weight out of the tool compared with wood or steel, and that difference compounds over a morning in a way that a single lift does not reveal. Pink is the colour people choose when they want a tool that stays theirs.
