Anyone who trims feet, braids manes, wraps legs or works on anything at knee height ends up crouching, and crouching is what wrecks backs. A stool solves half the problem. The other half is that the tools are always somewhere else, so you stand up, walk over, come back and settle again for every single item. This one is both. It measures about 36 cm deep, 46 cm wide and 30 cm high (14 by 18 by 12 inches), moulded in plastic with a storage compartment under the seat. Sit on it, stand on it to reach a shelf, or carry it by the handle with everything already in it. Because it is plastic rather than steel it does not go cold to sit on in an unheated barn, there is nothing to rust, and it can be hosed out when something inevitably spills inside it. Blue is a common choice for the general barn stool as opposed to a personal one. If more than one person uses the same space, it is worth agreeing whose is whose, because a stool with somebody elses tools in it is more annoying than no stool at all.
