Details
Teats are the consumable part of a feeding bottle. They get chewed at the tip, they split at the shoulder, and they go soft after a season of hot washes. A bottle with a tired teat is worse than no bottle, because the milk either comes too fast or will not come at all. This is a two-pack of screw-type teats sized for the 2-quart screw-neck bottle. Screw teats clamp between the collar and the bottle neck rather than pushing on over it, which is why they hold under a determined pull and also why the fit has to be right. Check what your bottle takes before ordering, since push-on and screw types are not interchangeable. Keep a spare set in the milk room rather than in a drawer in the house. Wash teats separately from the bottle, inside and out, and let them dry properly. Heat and residue between feeds shorten a teat's life far more than any calf does.
