Temporary setups are where a hook-over feeder beats a fixed one. Panels get moved, pens get reconfigured, and anything bolted to a rail eventually has to be unbolted from it. This one hangs on and comes off, so the feeder follows the animal instead of staying with the fence. Capacity is 10 quarts, roughly 9.5 L. The body and the fence hanger are a single moulding in recycled low-density polyethylene, flexible enough to take a knee or a shoulder without cracking and light enough that you can carry four at once while you are setting up. Blue makes it easy to keep a particular feeder with a particular animal, which is the usual reason people buy them in more than one colour. Knock it out after each feed, and if it is hanging on rough sawn rail, glance at the underside of the hanger now and then for wear.
