Tuff Stuff open square scoop - pink
A large open square scoop in pink, roughly 33 cm across, with a flat mouth that clears the bottom of a bin properly.
Details
Round scoops leave a rim of feed around the bottom edge of a square bin, and you end up tipping the bin or reaching in with your arm. A square mouth does not have that problem. The flat leading edge and squared corners run along the bottom and up into the corners, so a bin actually empties. It measures about 15 cm deep, 33 cm wide and 33 cm tall (6 by 13 by 13 inches), which is a serious size. This is a two-scoop-fills-a-pail tool rather than something for measuring a ration out by the cup. It is moulded from recycled low-density polyethylene, so it will not rust, rot or take on smell, and it stands up on its own flat back between uses. Pink makes it hard to lose under a tarp or in the bottom of a bin, and it marks this scoop out as belonging to one particular product if you run a colour system. Because the mouth is open rather than enclosed, it is quick to knock out and quick to rinse. Nothing accumulates in a corner you cannot see.
