Details
A tub this size rarely stays a muck bucket. It ends up soaking hay, holding a season's worth of baling twine, hauling feed out to a far pen or standing in as a wash tub. Which is exactly why the light colour is useful. The sky blue one is the one people set aside for clean jobs and never put manure in. Capacity is 70 quarts, roughly 66 L or 17.5 gallons, in a body about 53 cm across and 41 cm deep (21 by 16 inches). It is moulded from 100% recycled low-density polyethylene, which flexes rather than cracking, so it survives being sat on, dropped and dragged along a concrete alley. The two handles are moulded into the sides at the rim. Lifting from both rather than one keeps the rim from distorting over time, and it is the only sensible way to move it once it is full anyway. Rinse it, tip it over to drain, and it will hold water well enough to be worth using as a trough in a pinch.
