Tuff Stuff muck bucket 70 qts - red
A seventy-quart red muck bucket that handles stall picking, feed hauling and soaking jobs without much complaint.

Mucking out goes faster when the bucket comes to the stall instead of the other way round. Set it down inside the door, pick into it and drag it along as you work. The smooth moulded body slides over bedding and does not catch on the sill. Seventy quarts is about 66 litres, in a tub roughly 53 cm across by 41 cm deep (21 by 16 inches). Most operations end up using them for a good deal more than manure: soaking beet pulp, hauling grain, holding a hoof soak, carrying fencing tools out to a line, catching drips under a hydrant that has started weeping. The material is recycled low-density polyethylene. It is worth reserving one bucket for feed and water and a different one for manure, and red is a common choice for the clean side of that split for no better reason than it is easy to remember which is which. When one finally splits, and after enough winters they all do, the plastic is recyclable rather than landfill, which is more than can be said for a lot of barn gear.
