There is a point in the season when the same tub gets used for pulled weeds in the morning, feed at noon and manure at night. A tub that busy needs to rinse clean and dry fast, which is most of the argument for smooth-walled polyethylene over anything woven or ribbed. Capacity is 66 L (70 quarts, 17.5 US gallons). The opening measures about 53 cm (21 in) and the wall is roughly 41 cm (16 in) deep, so it sits low enough to tip and drag but tall enough that a shovelful does not bounce back out. Forest green disappears in a treed yard, which is either what you want or exactly what you do not want. If tubs go missing on your place, this is not the colour to buy. If you would rather they not be the first thing a visitor sees stacked by the barn door, it is. They nest inside one another for storage, so a stack of four takes barely more room than one. Keep them out of direct sun over the winter and the colour holds better than it does sitting on the south side of a shed.
