Details
Small pens and temporary setups are where this earns its keep. It hooks over a rail, a stall front or a gate panel, holds a single ration, and lifts straight off again. There are no brackets to mount and nothing left behind when the pen comes down. Capacity is six quarts, about 5.7 L. The body and the hook are moulded as one piece from recycled low-density polyethylene, so there is no hardware to rust into a rail and no sharp edge to catch a halter on. Pink is easy to spot and easy to assign. Plenty of operations use colour to keep a show animal's feed separate from the general ration, or simply to make sure the pan that lives in the isolation pen never comes back to the main barn. Rinse and hang it to drain rather than stacking it wet with the others.
