Details
Feeding a newborn calf is usually a one-handed job. Gate in the other hand, calf leaning into you, nowhere clean to set anything down. The moulded grip along the side of this bottle is what makes that manageable, because you can hold it at whatever angle the calf wants without your fingers clamped around a bare cylinder. It holds 1.9 L (2 quarts). The cap is the snap-on type: the teat cap presses down over the rim and seats with a push rather than screwing on. Cold hands and wet gloves are the reason that matters. There are no threads to cross, to strip, or to fill with dried milk that you then have to pick out. Rinse it while it is still warm and the job takes seconds. Leave it until morning and you will be scrubbing. The teat is a wear item and replaces separately, so a spare or two in the drawer keeps a bottle in service right through calving.
