Tuff Stuff milk bottle screw type 2qts
A two-quart (1.9 L) nursing bottle with a screw-on neck, so the teat seats tight and stays put when a hungry calf pulls.
Details
Anyone who has had a teat come off mid-feed knows why the neck design matters. The screw-type collar threads down onto the bottle and clamps the teat between the two, which is a great deal harder to pull loose than a push-on cap when a calf gets enthusiastic about it. It holds two quarts, roughly 1.9 L, which is the standard single feed for a young calf and enough for a couple of lambs or kids taken in turn. The body is moulded plastic with a handle you can hold one-handed while the other hand steadies the head. Take the collar and teat off after every feed and wash all three parts separately. Milk residue collects in the threads and in the shoulder of the teat where you cannot see it, and that is where a bottle starts to go wrong. Replacement screw teats are sold separately, so the bottle usually outlasts several of them.
