Details
Colour-coding liquid scoops is one of those small habits that pays off quietly. Pink is unmistakable, so it makes an ideal marker for the one product you absolutely do not want cross-contaminated — the teat dip, the medicated liquid, the wash concentrate. Whatever you assign it, nobody grabs it by mistake. The scoop itself is deep-sided, roughly ten inches across and five deep, with a hook so it hangs on the rim of the pail or drum rather than getting set down on a bench. That keeps drips in the container and keeps the outside of the scoop off everything else. It's handy anywhere liquids come in bulk: molasses, oils, liquid supplements, sanitiser, concentrated wash. Plastic doesn't corrode the way a metal dipper does with salts and disinfectants. One tip — rinse it before whatever's on it dries. Molasses and mineral supplements set up hard if left, and a scoop with a crust in the bottom is no longer measuring what you think it is.
