Tuff Stuff HD square basket fork - pink
A pink basket fork for fine bedding and paddock picking, with closely spaced tines that keep the small stuff on.
Details
Pink is the fork that doesn't get borrowed, which in a boarding barn is worth more than it sounds. It's also the one kids will happily use, and a basket fork is a good tool for a young person doing chores — the closer tines mean they get the job done in one pass rather than three. Functionally it's the fine-material fork. Tines set close together and shaped into a basket hold sawdust, fine shavings and broken-down pellet bedding instead of letting it fall through. That makes it the right choice for picking manure out of bedding without stripping the stall, and for picking paddocks where you're after droppings and not grass. The head is about sixteen and a half inches by ten, on a fork around fifty-four inches overall. Care is the same as any plastic fork. Don't lever with it, keep it away from frozen packs and gravel, and hang it rather than standing it on the tines. Done that way, it outlasts several cheap steel forks.
