Details
Thirty-seven gallons is where a tub stops being a bucket and starts being a small trough. It's the right size for a few horses or a pen of cattle where filling twice a day was getting old, and it holds enough that a hot summer afternoon doesn't drain it before evening chores. Fifteen inches of depth gives you options in winter. If you plan to run a stock tank de-icer, check the heater's own instructions for minimum depth and clearance, and use one rated for plastic tanks. Either way, expect to be out breaking ice on the cold days. It's a one-piece poly moulding, so there's nothing to rust and no seam to weep. The flex in the wall is what keeps it alive through freeze and thaw: expansion pushes the sidewall out rather than cracking it. Off-season it makes an excellent ice tub for branding day, a soaking tub for cubes, or bulk storage for feed and tools.
