Tuff Stuff HD plastic shovel - black
A heavy-duty plastic shovel for feed, grain and bedding — no sparks, no rust, and no gouging the inside of a bin.
Details
The reason to own a plastic shovel is what it doesn't do. It doesn't spark, so it's the right tool in a granary or anywhere grain dust hangs in the air. It doesn't gouge the liner of a poly tank or score the inside of a bin the way a steel blade does. And it doesn't rust, so it can live in a damp feed room without turning orange. Black is the plain, unfussy option — the one that doesn't look like it belongs to somebody's kid, and the one that doesn't show every scuff after a season of use. It's at its best in loose material: grain, pellets, chop, shavings, mineral, snow off a deck or a trailer ramp. It is not a digging tool and it won't survive being levered under frozen manure, so keep the steel one for that. Used the way it's meant to be used, a plastic shovel is lighter through a long job than steel, which you notice about the third bin you've emptied.
