Tuff Stuff Galvanized Rail Feeder 20"
A twenty-inch galvanized rail trough for pens with more birds — the longest of the three, for maximum feeding space.
Details
Twenty inches is the long trough. Along a cage or pen front it gives a good stretch of feeding space, which means more birds eating at once and fewer of them shouldered out and falling behind. In a grow-out pen where evenness matters, that is worth more than it sounds. It hangs on the rail or wire the same way as the shorter ones, so the feed sits at bird height rather than on the floor. Feed on the floor gets scratched out, walked through and wasted; feed in a rail trough gets eaten. It also means you can top it up from outside the pen without opening a door and letting anything out. Galvanized steel is what makes it last through repeated washing and a cold winter. It doesn't split, doesn't go brittle, and gives rodents nothing to gnaw. Check that your rail or mesh spacing suits it before you buy a stack of them — a long trough needs a reasonably straight rail to sit properly.
