Tuff Stuff Galvanized Rail Feeder 12"
A twelve-inch galvanized trough feeder that hangs on a pen rail or wire, keeping feed off the floor in a small pen.
Details
A rail feeder is the answer for a cage, a small pen, or a grow-out box where a hanging feeder won't fit and a floor feeder just gets scratched out and fouled. It sits on the rail or wire so the birds eat through the front, which keeps their feet — and everything that comes off their feet — out of the feed. Twelve inches is the short one. It suits a handful of birds, a brooder box, a quarantine pen, or a hutch. In a small setup a short trough is often better than a long one anyway, because you can put two of them at opposite ends and the timid birds get a fair chance at the feed. Galvanized steel means it doesn't crack in a cold building and mice can't chew a corner off it, which is the usual death of a plastic trough. It wipes and scrubs out easily between batches. Cheap enough that most people buy a couple and keep a spare clean and dry on the shelf.
