Forty-four pounds is close to a full sack of feed in one hanging unit. If you're running a batch of broilers, a large laying flock, or a coop you don't get out to every day, this is the one that changes your routine. Fill it, hang it, and check the level rather than the calendar. It's heavy loaded, which is exactly why the handle is there — you fill it at the bin, walk it out, and hook it on the chain instead of standing under it with a pail. Galvanized steel is what makes a feeder this size viable; plastic of the same capacity flexes under that much weight, and rodents make short work of plastic in a granary. Two things worth doing. Hang it so the rim sits at the birds' back height, which cuts feed waste more than any other single adjustment. And empty it out fully every few weeks — in a big feeder the bottom of the load can sit long enough to cake, especially through a damp spring.
