Tuff Stuff foldable legs drinking nest 2 Gal
The larger nest-style poultry drinker on folding, height-adjustable legs — fewer trips out to the coop with a full pail.
Details
Two gallons is the size you want once the birds are grown and you're tired of filling a small drinker twice a day. It's the difference between one trip to the coop and three, which matters a lot more in February than it does in June. Same design as the smaller nest drinker: legs that fold in for storage and set at three heights so the drinking lip stays where the birds can reach it without kicking shavings into it, and a handle over the top for carrying or hanging. Getting a drinker off the floor is the single easiest thing you can do to keep bedding dry, and dry bedding is most of coop management. Full, it's heavy enough that you'll want the handle. Fill it where it sits rather than hauling it across the yard. Through winter, plan on freezing — either swap a second unit in each morning or use a heated base rated for plastic. Dump and rinse regularly; a nest drinker collects grit in the bottom.
