Yellow is the brightest option in the line and it earns that in two places: outside, where a pale tub still shows against snow and mud, and inside a barn lit by one dusty fixture, where you can actually see it hanging on the wall. The tub is a single moulding with hand grips formed into the sides. Nothing to rivet, nothing to rust, no seam to open up. It flexes instead of cracking, which is what you want when it gets kicked across a pen, run into with a wheelbarrow, or left with water in it on a night that drops to minus thirty. Tip it, press the wall with your boot, and the ice releases. Use it for soaking feed, mixing supplements, carrying water to a sick pen, washing buckets, or as the catch-all that lives in the truck box. Yellow also makes a good code for anything you don't want mixed up with feed — the medicine tub, say.
